Doris and James (deceased) Coriz from Santo Domingo Pueblo make these "Corn" Necklaces. James has been gone for several years. He did all the stone cutting and matching by hand. Now their extended family helps Doris with the jewelry including a younger member who learned from James. This Necklace has 2 strands of hand-cut graduated Kingman Turquoise Heishi. It is highlighted by Spiney Oyster Shell Tabs which represent Corn Kernels. There are Red Coral accents. The Corn Kernels are 3/4" long. The Turquoise Heishi is 1/4" to 1/8" wide. The Necklace is 18" long plus a Sterling Silver Extender.
