Vidal Aragon is from Santo Domingo, Pueblo, New Mexico. His is no longer producing any jewelry. He is well known in Collector's Circles and his work is highly desirable. This Vintage Story Teller Bolo details the four (4) directions of the earth and the animals that inhabit the Native lands. In the center are Corn (Mother Earth), Rain and Lightning over the Pueblo (essential for growing food), a Sunburst and a Plant representing a Good Harvest. Around the edge are pictured Buffalo, Goats, Sheep, Moose, Bear, Mountain Lion, Wolf and Elk all essential for food and ceremonies. There are Pine Trees and Grasses representative of the Land where the animals roam and forage. The final symbol at the top of this Story Teller design is a Gold Sun radiating out over all of the land and the animals. Without the Sun and Rain life cannot exist. Sun is considered Father Earth. This extraordinary Bolo is had made from carved Sterling Silver and Gold in fine Overlay technique. The tips are Sterling Silver handmade. This is an exceptional piece. Measures 1 3/4" across.
